In 1972, these words sparked an enduring love affair between the Cajun people and Bob Hamm.  No author prior to his work or since has so successfully captured the essence of the culture and the people of this fascinating part of Louisiana.  This essay, and others, have been published in numerous books and magazines and is regularly included in local crafts.
